Our ESG Approach

In 2025, we further strengthened our approach to embedding ESG into the core of our business by appointing more than 36 dedicated ESG Champions across key areas, including energy management, water conservation, food safety, employee welfare, and community empowerment, while integrating ESG Key Performance Indicators into our Balanced Scorecard to ensure sustainability objectives are directly aligned with our corporate goals and performance. Complementing these efforts, we commenced our first Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) to reassess and enhance our understanding of the sustainability matters most relevant to our business and stakeholders, considering both our actual and potential impacts on people and the environment, as well as the financial risks and opportunities that could influence our long-term performance and value creation. Through these initiatives, we are building a stronger, more accountable, and data-driven sustainability framework that enables us to anticipate emerging challenges, respond to evolving stakeholder expectations, and drive meaningful long-term impact.

 Building Trust with Our Stakeholders

A key focus of our sustainability efforts is strengthening responsible selling practices, product labelling, and supply chain management. We are committed to ensuring that our products are marketed and labelled accurately, transparently, and responsibly, enabling consumers and customers to make informed decisions while maintaining the highest standards of product integrity and compliance. At the same time, we continue to strengthen our responsible supply chain by promoting ethical sourcing, supplier accountability, traceability, and adherence to relevant environmental, social, and governance standards. Together, these efforts reinforce trust across our value chain and support our commitment to responsible business practices and long-term value creation.

Food & Safety Security 

Strengthening Food Safety & Security remains a fundamental priority in our operations and our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and trusted food products. In 2025, we continued to enhance our food safety culture by fostering greater awareness, ownership, and accountability across all levels of the organization. We also invested in strengthening employee competencies through targeted training and capability-building programs, ensuring that our people are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to consistently uphold food safety standards. These efforts are further reinforced through the implementation and continuous improvement of internationally recognized food safety management systems and process certifications, supporting robust controls, compliance, traceability, and continuous improvement throughout our operations. Through this integrated approach, we aim to build a strong food safety culture and resilient processes that safeguard product quality, protect consumers, and strengthen trust across our value chain.

Caring Our People

Our people are at the heart of our business, and caring for them is fundamental to building a resilient, inclusive, and high-performing organization. We are committed to fostering a workplace where Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are embraced, every employee feels valued and empowered, and meaningful employee engagement is actively encouraged. Through continuous people development, we invest in building the capabilities, leadership, and future readiness of our workforce, enabling our people to grow alongside the business. At the same time, we continue to strengthen Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/K3) practices through robust systems, awareness, competency development, and proactive risk management to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. By bringing together inclusion, engagement, development, and safety, we strive to create a workplace where our people can thrive, contribute their best, and grow with confidence—driving sustainable performance and long-term value for our business and stakeholders.

Managing Our Environmental Footprint 

FKS FA has embarked on a comprehensive carbon accounting journey as part of our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint and strengthening responsible environmental management. We continue to consolidate and enhance the quality of our GHG inventory data while exploring and implementing renewable energy solutions, including the installation of 5.09 MWp of solar panels across our Group and joint venture operations, to support the reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions and contribution to climate change. These initiatives are complemented by our commitment to complying with applicable environmental regulations, improving operational efficiency, minimizing pollution and resource impacts, and promoting responsible practices across our operations. Through this integrated approach, we aim to operate more efficiently and responsibly while continuously reducing our environmental impact and supporting the transition towards a lower-carbon and more sustainable business.

Empowering Our Local Communities 

The report highlights our ongoing community-focused initiatives, including the FKS Inspire and FKS Empower programs, which reflect our commitment to creating meaningful and lasting social impact. These initiatives provide educational and vocational training opportunities for students and young people in underserved communities, helping strengthen their skills, confidence, and pathways toward greater self-sufficiency. Alongside these empowerment programs, we continue to support philanthropic activities that respond to community needs through targeted social assistance, humanitarian support, and contributions to community development. By combining philanthropy with long-term capacity building and empowerment, we aim to contribute to more resilient communities and create positive social value that extends beyond our business operations.
